New proposed residential development in Hethersett

Hethersett residents today received notification that Gladedale Estates Ltd are proposing to build around 160 houses on land located on the northern side of Great Melton Road near Glengary Close.

This is not part of the Hethersett Land proposals.

The proposals will be available to view at the Methodist Church Hall, Great Melton Road on Thursday 8th March 2012 between 2pm and 8pm. Representatives from the development team will be available to answer questions and record issues. The planning application is expected to be submitted to South Norfolk District Council towards the end of March/beginning of April.

Once again, this planning application is being made before South Norfolk District Council have made decisions on where the 10,500 new homes in the area are going to be built. The latest update is that SNDC will consult on the shortlist in May.

If both this development and the Hethersett Land proposal get the green light that could mean 1356 new houses in Hethersett.

We strongly recommend that residents go along to the exhibition on Thursday 8th March so we can have our say on this new proposal.
