Hethersett Parish Council collects the views of residents

The Hethersett Parish Council drop in session today was well attended by Hethersett residents wanting to find out more about the proposed development and to have their say. Printed versions of the online maps and planning documents for planning application 2011/1804 were available to be viewed. The Parish Council collected feedback from those who attended and this will be incorporated into the Parish Council response.

At the Hethersett Parish Council planning committee meeting on Monday 5th December (Hethersett village hall at 7pm) the committee will be creating the draft response which will go to the Parish Council for approval on Monday 12th December.

Fresh hope was given after plans to build 350 new houses in Wymondham, close to the Hethersett parish boundary, were refused this week.

The South Norfolk Green Party has also said that they are against plans for large scale development in Hethersett. “Hethersett is not the place to build 1,000 houses without destroying too much of the local landscape and wildlife in the area around” said Andy Panes, development officer for the South Norfolk Green Party in the Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury this week.

It is still important that as many people as possible have their say. To respond to the application (no: 2011/1804) you can do it online here or send your comments via email to planning@s-norfolk.gov.uk or by post to Planning, Housing and the Built Environment at:
South Norfolk District Council

We believe that, although the South Norfolk Council website hasn’t yet been updated, the closing date for comments on the planning application has been extended to 5th January 2012.
